Balmoral Loch Tartan British Wool Lampshade | The Lakehouse

The Balmoral Loch Lampshade brings softly layered tartan and traditional wool character to The Lakehouse.

Muted blue, stone and warm neutral lines form a relaxed tartan that coordinates with the plain Braemar Loch and the finer Kintyre Loch check.

Its gentle colouring makes it easy to place beside natural wicker, painted timber, leather and the botanical fabrics used throughout the room.

Candle clip shades are available on White frames only. The 20cm, 30cm and 40cm drums are available on White or Vintage Gold frames. Select the shape, size, quantity option and frame colour when ordering.
Singles: Each shade is made individually. Ordering two or more singles does not guarantee matching pattern placement, even when purchased together. Singles may happen to align, but matching is not included.

Matching Pair: Choose this purchase option when matching placement is essential. Both shades are deliberately cut and made with matching pattern alignment. The premium includes the extra fabric allowance, careful cutting and making time. Two matching pairs of the same fabric, size and shape ordered together will be coordinated across all four shades.

Matching cannot be guaranteed for a later separate order.

Drums are cut on the straight of the fabric check. Candle clips are cut on the angle; a Matching Pair of candle clips receives matching placement on that same angle.

For six or more single candle clip shades, please contact us about a bundle quotation. This applies to singles with varying placement rather than deliberately matched pairs.
Drums: Fixed utility fitting for table or floor lamps, or ceiling pendants. Please tell us the required fitting position when ordering. The removable reducer gives a 29mm UK opening or a 40mm opening without the reducer. Compatible with B22, E14, E27 and E26 fittings using the appropriate adaptor.

Candle clips: Clip directly onto a suitable candle-shaped LED bulb for wall lights, chandeliers and small decorative lamps. Check the bulb shape and the space around your fitting before ordering.

Low-energy LED bulbs are recommended. The maximum recommended bulb for drums is 40 watts. Candle clips require candle-shaped LED bulbs; do not use halogen or incandescent candle bulbs. Keep the bulb clear of the lining, frame and fabric. Use indoors, away from naked flames. Switch off and allow the bulb to cool before adjusting or cleaning.

Each shade is handmade to order in our workshop using professional lampshade materials, a rolled-edge finish, matt white lining and a single neat seam. Natural variations in wool yarn, texture and weave are part of the fabric's character.

The lining is supplied to us as having passed the Glow Wire Test carried out by the Lighting Association of the United Kingdom. Please contact us if you require specific information about the fabric, lining or treatment for your shade.

Dust gently with a soft dry brush or cloth. Do not soak or use abrasive cleaners. Colours can vary with screens and lighting; a fabric sample is recommended where colour matching matters.
