At the orchard edge, hens wander beneath the trees, scratching between fallen leaves and pausing around the grass before returning to the kitchen yard. Sophie Allport’s softly illustrated chickens capture that gentle estate scene, with speckled birds and scattered eggs arranged across a cool grey ground.
The design feels calm, characterful and easy to live with. Cream, black, soft brown and red details stand out against the muted background, while the grey base gives the pattern a quieter and more understated finish than The Kitchen Hen.
Within The Kitchen Garden, The Orchard Hen belongs close to the fruit trees, herb beds and weathered garden gates. The grey ground sits beautifully beside pale stone, aged timber, sage paintwork and woven baskets, while the warmer feather details complement our signature Vintage Gold frame.
