The Woodland Border Lampshade brings the softer wildlife of the estate grounds to The Garden Wall within The Glass House at the Berry & Grouse Estate Rooms.
Beyond the clipped paths and flower beds, the garden begins to loosen into hedgerow, young woodland and sheltered undergrowth. Sophie Allport Woodland Friends captures that quieter edge of the estate, where hedgehogs wander beneath trailing branches, rabbits pause among the grasses and small birds settle between the leaves.
The design has a gentle, storybook quality without feeling overly childish. Softly illustrated animals are arranged among delicate foliage, scattered leaves and pale botanical details on a warm cream ground. Blush, sage, ochre and muted brown give the fabric a calm, lightly nostalgic colour palette that feels easy to place within both traditional and contemporary country interiors.
Within The Glass House, The Woodland Border sits naturally along The Garden Wall, where cultivated planting begins to meet the wilder corners of the estate. Its pale ground works beautifully with wicker, aged terracotta, limewashed walls, soft green paintwork and natural timber, while the warmer woodland details complement our vintage gold coloured painted frame.
Beyond the estate, this lampshade works especially well in bedrooms, nurseries, playrooms, reading corners, hallways and relaxed sitting rooms. It brings warmth, wildlife and gentle pattern to a space without making the room feel heavily themed.
Sold individually. Choose from the currently available sizes: Candle Clip (14.5cm Base x 13cm High); 20cm Diameter x 18cm High Drum. Select a table / floor lamp or ceiling pendant fitting for drum shades. Candle clip shades use a clip fitting and a white frame only.
Each lampshade is handmade to order using Sophie Allport Woodland Friends fabric, with a professional rolled-edge finish, smooth matt white lining and considered single-seam construction. Drum lampshades are available with a white or vintage gold coloured painted frame. The gold option is a colour finish, not gold plating or solid gold.
