The Apiary Lampshade brings the softer hum of the garden to The Garden Wall within The Glass House at the Berry & Grouse Estate Rooms.
Set against a pale duck-egg ground, Wrendale’s beautifully observed bees appear as though they have just settled among the planting beyond the glass. Their delicate wings, warm golden bodies and softly illustrated detail give the fabric a gentle, painterly character, capturing the quieter side of life around an old estate apiary.
The design feels lighter and more naturalistic than a regular repeated bee print. Each bee has its own sense of movement and personality, with generous space between the motifs allowing the duck-egg background to remain calm and airy.
Within The Glass House, The Apiary belongs along The Garden Wall, where old-fashioned white beehives sit beside herb beds, fruit blossom and climbing flowers. Its cool blue-green ground works beautifully with pale stone, aged terracotta, weathered timber and soft foliage, while the warmer bee tones bring a subtle connection to the Vintage Gold frame.
Beyond the estate, this lampshade is well suited to bedrooms, kitchens, garden rooms, hallways and relaxed sitting rooms. It introduces wildlife and pattern in a way that feels soft, decorative and easy to live with.
Each lampshade is handmade to order with a professional rolled-edge finish, smooth matt white lining and considered single-seam construction. Standard drum lampshades are finished with our signature Vintage Gold utility frame. Any candle clip option will only be offered where the remaining fabric allows a well-balanced pair.
