A richly coloured 100% wool herringbone from Abraham Moon, selected for The Groom’s Room within The Tack Room.
The warm Fox Red tone has the depth and texture of a traditional woven wool, with a subtle herringbone pattern that gives the fabric character without overpowering the room.
It sits naturally alongside worn leather, dark timber, Tattersall checks and deeper claret tones, bringing a tailored sporting character to wall lights, bedside lamps, table lamps and larger room lighting.
Handmade by Berry & Grouse, The Fox Red is available as a pair of candle clip lampshades, a pair of 20cm drums, and individual 30cm and 40cm drum lampshades.
This Abraham Moon cloth is available only in a small quantity. Once the remaining fabric has been used, The Fox Red collection will close and will not be restocked.

Standard Drum Lampshades
Our standard drum lampshades are made with a fixed utility fitting.
For table and floor lamps, the fitting is positioned for use on a lamp base.

Candle Clip Lampshades
Candle clip lampshades are designed to clip directly onto candle-shaped bulbs.

Selected lampshades can be made with a US Spider Fitter / 1/2" washer circular lampshade ring for use with harp and finial fittings.

Bespoke orders may be available on request for different shapes and custom sizes.
Low-energy LED bulbs are recommended for all Berry & Grouse lampshades.
LED bulbs use less energy and remain cooler in use, helping to protect the lampshade, lining and surrounding surfaces.
Standard Drum Lampshades

Candle Clip Lampshades
Candle clip lampshades are suitable for candle-shaped LED bulbs only.

Always make sure the candle clip is securely attached to the bulb before use.
Safe Use Notes
- Use only with suitable indoor light fittings.
- Keep lampshades away from naked flames.
- Do not allow bulbs to touch the shade lining, frame or outer fabric.
- Do not exceed the recommended bulb wattage.
- Switch off and allow bulbs to cool before adjusting, cleaning or removing lampshades.

Our lampshades are handmade to order in our workshop using professional lampshade materials.
Each lampshade includes:

Our lampshade lining materials are supplied to us as having passed the Glow Wire Test, carried out by the Lighting Association of the United Kingdom.
Where appropriate, fabrics may also be treated after making with a water-based fireproofing spray.

HANDMADE AT THE FABRIC MILL
Each Fox Red lampshade is handmade by Berry & Grouse using professional lampshade-making materials and carefully selected Abraham Moon wool.
The herringbone is positioned with care around the shade, but as this is a woven textile, natural variation in the appearance and placement of the weave should be expected.
Every shade is individually made, giving each piece the subtle character associated with handmade furnishings.
LIMITED-RUN WOOL
The Fox Red has been selected from a small remaining quantity of Abraham Moon 100% wool.
It forms part of The Groom’s Room collection within The Tack Room and is being offered as a considered limited run rather than a permanent House fabric.
Once the available cloth has been used, this lampshade collection will close and the fabric will not be restocked.
Availability may therefore vary by lampshade size as the remaining cloth reduces.

THE GROOM’S ROOM
The Fox Red was chosen for The Groom’s Room for its combination of warm colour, traditional wool texture and understated herringbone pattern.
Pair it with leather, dark timber, Tattersall checks, heritage tweeds and deeper claret tones for the layered equestrian character of The Tack Room.
Its warmer red also provides a useful counterpoint to the greens, moss tones and more muted British wools found elsewhere in the room.
