Berry & Grouse lampshades are individually made to order, utilising professional-grade materials to ensure a superior finish. Each piece is constructed with a discreet single seam and hand-finished with a smooth rolled edge for a clean, contemporary silhouette.

The internal structure features durable epoxy-coated steel wire frames, providing long-lasting stability and strength.

To ensure safety and aesthetic longevity, Berry & Grouse uses a premium matt white PVC inner liner. This specialist material is engineered with UV stabilisation and anti-yellowing properties to maintain its crisp finish over time. For peace of mind, the liner is also anti-static and has undergone rigorous fire-resistance treatments, meeting the highest standards for home interiors.

Fabric Alignment
As each item is handcrafted, the placement of the pattern may vary from the images displayed. Berry & Grouse utilises authentic textiles and is an authorised stockist. On orders comprising multiple items, the fabric will be cut as a continuation of the design to ensure consistency, unless a specific alternative is requested (please note that bespoke pattern matching may incur additional charges).

Dye Batches & Manufacturing
Please be advised that dye batches, yarn colours, and pattern repeats may vary slightly between production runs. While these differences are maintained within the strict tolerance levels established by the manufacturer, subtle variations may occur between separate orders.

Colour, Digital Representation & AI Imagery
Berry & Grouse utilises a combination of official manufacturer photography and AI-generated imagery to showcase products within various interior settings. Please be aware that AI-generated visuals may occasionally distort the true scale of the fabric pattern or the exact dimensions of the item. Furthermore, actual colours may vary depending on individual monitor settings and display technology.

Drum Lampshades
- Profile: Circular rings of equal diameter with straight vertical sides.
- Standard Sizes (Diameter x Height):

Oval Lampshades
- Profile: Elegant oval rings with equal proportions and vertical sides; ideal for narrower spaces.

Empire (Tapered) Lampshades

Conical Lampshades
- Profile: A dramatic slope gradient from a small duplex top ring to a wide base.
- Fitting: Supplied with a shade carrier or spider fitting as required.

  - 25cm x 12.5cm x 16cm (17.18cm slope)
  - 30cm x 15.0cm x 20cm (21.36cm slope)

Candle Clip Lampshades
- Profile: Specifically designed for chandeliers and wall lights, featuring a steep taper.
- Fitting: Integrated 5.1cm (2") internal clip for direct attachment to candle-shaped bulbs.
- Dimensions: 14.5cm (Base Ø) x 13cm (Height) x 7.7cm (Top Ø).

Berry & Grouse lampshades are made for versatility across international lighting standards. Each frame is designed to integrate seamlessly with UK and European lampholders or pendant fittings.

Standard Fittings: The frames feature a 40mm European fitting with a removable 29mm reducer ring (adaptor) pre-fitted for standard UK lamp holders.
International Adaptability:
- B22 Bayonet Cap (UK) & E14 Edison Screw (EU): Use with the adaptor fitted.
- E27 Edison Screw (EU) & E26 Edison Screw (US): Remove the adaptor ring.
- USA Harp & Finial Fittings: Compatible via the use of converting washers. Please contact Berry & Grouse prior to purchase to discuss these requirements.
- Candle Clip Fittings: Specifically designed to clip directly onto standard candle-shaped bulbs.
Internal Placement: The fitting is recessed 40mm inside the lampshade. For table/floor lamps, the fitting is positioned at the base; for ceiling pendants, it is positioned at the top.

Safety & Compliance Standards

The safety of Berry & Grouse products is paramount. Our materials have undergone rigorous testing to meet and exceed British and European standards.

Certified Protection: All lampshades comply with BS EN 60598-1-2008, the British Standard for Luminaries.
Fire Retardancy: Our frames utilise flame-retardant PVC that has successfully passed the Lighting Association’s Glow Wire Test. As an additional safety measure, all fabrics are treated with a non-hazardous, non-toxic, water-based fireproofing spray. Test certificates are available upon request.
Material Longevity: The internal liners are UV-stabilised to prevent yellowing and anti-static treated to minimise dust accumulation.
Durability: Engineered for high impact strength and exceptional tear resistance.
Bulb Recommendations: To ensure the longevity of the fabric and liner, Berry & Grouse recommends the use of low-energy LED bulbs. If utilizing traditional incandescent bulbs, please do not exceed 40 watts on lampshades 25cm and under.

Lead Times
Berry & Grouse operates on a made-to-order basis. Standard production typically takes seven working days, extending to 14 working days during peak periods. Expedited services are available upon request for an additional fee.

Shipping & Security
Orders are dispatched via courier and may require a signature upon delivery. Service is limited to UK Mainland and Northern Ireland. Please note that all bespoke orders will incur a delivery charge, and additional surcharges apply to remote postcodes. In such instances, Berry & Grouse will contact the customer to arrange payment prior to dispatch.

Sustainability
In line with a Reuse, Reduce & Recycle Policy, Berry & Grouse utilises recyclable and biodegradable packaging to ensure items are transported securely and responsibly.

Berry & Grouse accepts returns on standard merchandise; however, specific exceptions apply. The buyer is responsible for covering all return postage costs.
