This floor lamp was selected as the taller companion to our Whitewashed Column Table Lamp.
Its pale, quietly textured finish works particularly well with marble, painted cabinetry, natural linens and softer neutral interiors. The upright form provides useful height, while the linen shade prevents it from feeling stark or overly architectural.
We first imagined it within The Linen Cupboard, illuminating a corner beside folded towels and household linens. Its understated appearance, however, gives it an easy place throughout the Estate—from kitchen corners and bedrooms to reading spaces, hallways and relaxed sitting rooms.
Used alone, it creates a simple pool of ambient light. Paired with the coordinating table lamp, it provides a more considered and flexible lighting arrangement.
ESTATE STYLING
In The Linen Cupboard
Place the floor lamp in a quiet corner beside a linen press, painted cupboard or freestanding worktable. It brings height and warmth to the room without occupying valuable countertop space.
In the Kitchen
Use it in a dry corner away from sinks, hobs and food-preparation areas. Its linen shade creates a gentler evening atmosphere once brighter practical lighting is no longer required.
Beside a Reading Chair
Position it beside an occasional chair with a small table and a folded throw. The lamp provides ambient light; additional task lighting may be needed for close reading.
