The Venetian Velvet Cushion Cover

Rich in colour and softly tactile, our Venetian Velvet cushion covers have been selected for their depth, warmth and elegant velvet finish.

Each 40cm cover is made in a carefully chosen Venetian Velvet and is available with either a clean plain edge or a matching piped finish. Designed as a considered accent for sofas, beds, armchairs and reading corners, the collection layers naturally with patterned fabrics, heritage wools, linens and other textures from across the Berry & Grouse Estate.

Choose a plain edge for a simple, tailored appearance or matching piping for a more defined and decorative finish.

Each cushion cover is made with matching Venetian Velvet on the front and reverse and finished with a discreet zip opening.

Choose between:

Plain Edge
A clean, simple finish with neatly constructed seams.

Piped Edge
A more defined finish with matching velvet piping around the edge of the cover.

Each cover is sold individually and supplied without a cushion insert.

For a fuller appearance, we recommend using a cushion insert approximately 1–2 inches larger than the cover.
Venetian Velvet has been selected for its rich colour, soft tactile pile and ability to bring warmth and depth to an interior.

Velvet responds naturally to light and touch. The colour may appear lighter or darker depending on the direction of the pile, room lighting and the position of the cushion.

Colours may also vary slightly between screens and devices. A fabric sample is recommended where an exact colour match is important.

As the Venetian Velvet Collection contains limited and remaining fabrics, individual colours may be withdrawn once the available stock has been used.

That final sentence prepares customers for colours disappearing without making the range sound like clearance stock.
The 40cm size works well as a smaller accent cushion on armchairs, layered beds, sofas and reading chairs.

Use one Venetian Velvet cushion to introduce a single note of rich colour, or combine it with patterned cushions, heritage wools and linens for a more layered arrangement.

The plain edge offers a quieter, tailored look, while the matching piped edge gives the cushion a stronger outline and more decorative finish.

Velvet pile may become temporarily pressed during storage or delivery. Smooth the surface lightly by hand in the direction of the pile and allow the cover to settle naturally once filled.
