Candle Clip Lampshades

Candle clip lampshades are suitable for candle-shaped LED bulbs only.

Do not use halogen or incandescent candle bulbs.

Always make sure the candle clip is securely attached to the bulb before use.

Safe Use Notes

• Use only with suitable indoor light fittings.
• Keep lampshades away from naked flames.
• Do not allow bulbs to touch the shade lining, frame or outer fabric.
• Do not exceed the recommended bulb wattage.
• Switch off and allow bulbs to cool before adjusting, cleaning or removing lampshades.

Our lampshades are handmade to order in our workshop using professional lampshade materials.

Each lampshade includes:

• 3.25mm gauge wire lampshade frame
• Epoxy coated frame finish
• Professional lampshade lining materials

Our lampshade lining materials are supplied to us as having passed the Glow Wire Test, carried out by the Lighting Association of the United Kingdom.

Where appropriate, fabrics may also be treated after making with a water-based fireproofing spray.

HANDMADE AT THE FABRIC MILL

Each Balmoral Claret lampshade is handmade by Berry & Grouse using professional lampshade-making materials and 100% wool from the Chess collection.

The tartan is positioned with care around each shade, while natural variation in the woven pattern and the handmade process gives every finished piece its own subtle character.

Drum shades are finished with a matt white lining, rolled edges and a single neat seam.

PATTERN MATCHING

These Balmoral Claret candle clip lampshades are offered as individual Estate Outlet pieces.

Each shade is handmade with careful attention to the placement of the tartan pattern.

However, the shades have not been produced as deliberately matched pairs.

If two or more shades are ordered, the best available fabric placement will be selected from the remaining stock, but exact pattern alignment, repeat position and matching placement cannot be guaranteed.

Customers requiring a deliberately coordinated pair should choose the standard Balmoral Claret pair listing from the House Fabric Registry instead.

THE CHESS COLLECTION

Balmoral Claret forms part of the wider Chess House Fabric collection alongside Kintyre and Braemar.

Each design brings a different pattern character:

Balmoral Claret is featured within The Groom’s Room at The Tack Room, where traditional wools, checks and tailored fabrics sit alongside leather, saddlery, dark timber and antique brass.

Its deep claret ground gives the fabric a richer, more traditional character, while the moss green and tan checks soften the red and make it easy to layer with brown leather, russet and darker wool tones.
