The Story
The Chateau’s Honeycomb print is based on a classic geometric pattern that mirrors the amazing structural design of bee hives. Combined with elements of The Walled Garden at Chateau de la Motte Husson, it has an Art Deco-inspired feel.
Life at the Chateau is so much about respecting the natural environment and providing a place where nature thrives. The grounds create a haven for bees to visit the flowers which Angel loves so much and these two motifs provide the inspiration for ‘Honeycomb’. Combining hexagonal patterning with beautifully drawn flower and bee imagery, creates a soft but geometric pattern – perfect for bringing the outdoors inside.
“The Chateau is as much about the outdoors as the indoors. In fact, it is often a case of merging both... The Honeycomb design picks up on the theme of nature, in particular the bees that play such an important part of the natural cycle – pollinating the wild flowers that grow in The Chateau’s meadow, the wisteria that grows up the Orangery and the produce grown in the Walled Garden.”
