Each rabbit is made from cast iron with a dark, subtly aged surface that complements terracotta, stoneware, weathered timber and traditional garden planting.

The cast finish gives each figure its own small variations in texture, tone and detail. These variations are characteristic of the material and form part of the rabbits’ deliberately timeworn appearance.

The rabbits may be displayed individually, placed throughout a collection of pots or arranged together to continue the Walled Garden story.

 

Pot-Climbing Rabbit

A small cast-iron rabbit designed to hang from the rim of a suitable planter or flowerpot, creating the impression that it has been caught climbing into the planting.

• Height: approximately 10cm

The thickness and shape of planter rims vary. Please check that the rabbit sits securely before leaving it in position.

 

Upright Sitting Rabbit

A slender little rabbit sitting alertly on its hind legs. Its upright profile works particularly well on a shelf, potting bench, windowsill or among a collection of smaller planters.

Little Garden Rabbit

A compact cast-iron rabbit with a quietly seated pose and textured finish. Small enough to tuck between flowerpots or place on a shelf, table or garden-room ledge.

Tuck the Pot-Climbing Rabbit onto an aged terracotta planter filled with rosemary, thyme or softly trailing greenery. Place the two sitting rabbits nearby on a weathered shelf or potting bench, allowing them to appear as though they have found their own way through the display.

Their dark cast-iron finish sits particularly well against chalky white planters, mossed terracotta, natural stone and the aged brass and glass pieces found throughout The Ornamental Garden and The Glass House.

Display them beside The Estate Mice to create a larger collection of unexpected residents found around the Berry & Grouse Estate.

Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Cast iron may develop changes in colour, surface character or areas of rust when exposed to moisture. To preserve the existing finish, keep the rabbits dry and bring them indoors during prolonged wet or severe weather.

Place freestanding rabbits on a stable, level surface. Check that the Pot-Climbing Rabbit is secure and compatible with the shape and thickness of the chosen planter rim before use.

Cast iron can mark or scratch delicate surfaces. Use a discreet protective pad where appropriate.

These are decorative objects and not toys. Keep away from young children and handle carefully, as cast iron is heavy for its size and may have naturally uneven cast edges.
